SakeOf is a healthcare membership designed to make paying for and navigating care more member-directed. You can use the features you select, choose where to seek in-person care, and turn to advocacy when bills or care arrangements need attention. The practical first step is to match the need to the simplest appropriate option: a common, non-emergency concern may suit telemedicine; ongoing care may call for a primary-care relationship; and concerns requiring examination, testing, or treatment in person call for a local provider.
Membership features are available only when offered, selected, active, and eligible under program rules. Full Service and Major Medical Only are the two primary programs; optional services and sharing features vary by program and selection. Use the SakeOf calculator or Savings Guide to explore membership options, then confirm the features you want before enrolling.
If Zero Copay Telemedicine is selected and active, it offers access for common non-emergency illnesses and symptoms that are appropriate for a virtual visit. A clinician may prescribe medication when clinically appropriate and legally permitted. A telemedicine recommendation for a test, specialist, procedure, or in-person follow-up does not itself include that service, so check the provider’s price and payment arrangements before booking.
Rx and Prescription Benefits, when selected and active, are a separate feature to review for prescription needs. Medication costs follow the active Rx program. Ask about the medication, pharmacy, and your program’s terms rather than assuming every prescription or pharmacy charge works the same way.
Mental Health and Counseling is another optional feature. It can help with counseling access under its program terms; psychiatry, inpatient or emergency behavioral care, testing, residential substance-use treatment, and medication costs are not automatically included just because counseling is active. Virtual Primary Care is a direct service with a dedicated physician relationship, an annual virtual wellness visit, and follow-up for chronic care and medication management when clinically appropriate. It has a monthly adjustment of $15 and requires active Rx, telemedicine, and Mental Health and Counseling features. Confirm current service details and eligibility with SakeOf.
When you need an exam, laboratory service, or other in-person care, you can choose a provider and ask for the price before scheduling. Valley Health–Stepptown lists family medicine and laboratory services at its Kermit location. Its location page lists Monday–Thursday hours with a daily lunch closure; call to confirm current hours, appointment availability, and charges before traveling.
Marshall Family Medicine–Kermit lists primary care for all ages, family medicine, and weekday walk-in services Monday–Thursday. Walk-in availability and hours can change, so call ahead and ask what the visit will cost and whether separate charges may apply. For care farther from Kermit, Williamson Health & Wellness Center lists adult medicine, pediatrics, behavioral medicine, dental services, and a pharmacy across locations in Williamson and Gilbert; confirm the right location and current availability directly.
Before an appointment, ask whether the quoted amount covers the clinician and any expected laboratory or other services. Labs, imaging, specialist visits, and in-person follow-up may have separate costs. If a service is planned or likely to be higher cost, contacting SakeOf in advance when reasonably possible can help you understand the process and prepare documentation.
Full Service includes advocacy, bill verification, fair-price review, and negotiation support. If a bill seems confusing or unusually high, gather the itemized bill and ask SakeOf how to submit it for review. An itemized bill should include service dates, provider information, and CPT or HCPCS codes when available; SakeOf may request records or other documents to review eligibility, medical necessity, and fair pricing.
Send complete requested documents within six months of the service date. Submit a balance bill, denial, or payment demand within 10 days of receiving it. Keep copies and note when you contacted the provider or SakeOf. Ask the provider about its current payment arrangements while the bill is being clarified; do not assume an estimate or a review guarantees a particular price or outcome.
For larger eligible medical events, Full Service combines advocacy and fair-price support with voluntary community sharing under the program’s rules. The applicable member commitment is your responsibility, and eligible sharing is not automatic: eligibility, documentation, and program limits matter. Contact SakeOf in advance for planned higher-cost care when reasonably possible, and keep your membership current and required contributions funded.
Before proceeding with planned care, ask the provider for a service-specific estimate and ask SakeOf what information it needs. Hospital estimates may not include every professional or ancillary charge. CMS explains hospital price-transparency resources, and Logan Regional Medical Center provides a cost estimator and hospital pricing information; those tools can be useful for a regional comparison, but confirm what is included in any estimate.
Depending on your needs, additional selectable features include maternity care, dental and vision discounts, chiropractic and acupuncture, physical and occupational therapy, and durable medical equipment. Each feature has its own price adjustment and program rules. Maternity sharing, when offered and selected in Full Service, requires continuous active selection for at least 12 months before conception and has a $5,000 member responsibility per eligible pregnancy; confirm current availability and terms with SakeOf.
