Local facts are one part of the decision. These stories show what it looks like after joining.

A more guided way to approach care

SakeOf is a healthcare membership designed to help members navigate everyday care, choose providers, and get support when a bill or healthcare event needs more attention. Instead of beginning with a facility or a bill, begin with the care you need: a common concern that may suit virtual care, an ongoing primary-care relationship, an in-person service, or help understanding charges.

Your available services depend on the options selected and active. The SakeOf calculator and Savings Guide can help you explore membership choices. For a practical next step, use provider search to identify care options, contact the office to confirm the service and appointment details, or ask Jordan to help you understand the SakeOf pathway.

Use everyday-care services when appropriate

When active, Zero Copay Telemedicine is designed for common, non-emergency illnesses and symptoms appropriate for virtual care. Provider availability, technology, state law, clinical judgment, and prescribing rules apply. A clinician may recommend an in-person evaluation, test, imaging, specialist, or follow-up; those services are separate unless another active benefit or program applies. Seek emergency care for emergencies.

The Rx and Prescription Benefits are designed primarily for medications commonly prescribed for acute conditions. A medication on the current formulary may be available at $0 when filled through the participating-pharmacy process and program requirements are met. Check the current pharmacy tool before filling: the formulary, participating pharmacies, and vendor rules can change. A non-formulary medicine may have a negotiated or discount price, but is not automatically $0 or eligible for community sharing.

When selected and active, Mental Health and Counseling may include immediate problem assessment, supportive counseling and follow-up sessions, follow-up with the original counselor when available, crisis support, and referrals to other care or community resources. Psychiatry, inpatient behavioral health, emergency psychiatric care, and medication costs are separate unless another active benefit or program expressly includes them.

Virtual Primary Care is an optional service with a $15 monthly adjustment. It provides $0 virtual primary-care access through the current service partner, an ongoing physician relationship, an annual virtual wellness visit and health-risk assessment, and chronic-care follow-up and medication-management support when appropriate for virtual care. The required bundled services must remain active; review current membership options to see whether this approach fits your needs.

Choose local in-person care in Huntington

When you need an exam, test, procedure, or specialist, SakeOf members can choose a provider for in-person care. Huntington has hospital, outpatient, primary-care, walk-in, and urgent-care options; specific services, hours, availability, and payment arrangements should be confirmed with the location.

Cabell Huntington Hospital is at 1340 Hal Greer Blvd, Huntington, and St. Mary’s Medical Center is at 2900 First Avenue. Both publish standard-charge information and patient-estimate tools. Ask the hospital what a planned-care estimate includes and whether clinician or other ancillary charges may be separate; an estimate may differ from final patient responsibility.www.cms.gov

Get support with bills and larger eligible events

If a bill is confusing or seems unusually high, collect the itemized bill and any estimate or billing details. SakeOf Full Service advocacy can include bill verification, fair-price review, and negotiation support, subject to program rules and the details of the event. Ask SakeOf what documentation to submit and how the process applies to your situation.

An itemized bill is required and should include service dates, provider information, and CPT or HCPCS codes when available. SakeOf may request clinical notes, medical records, billing records, or other documentation to assess eligibility, medical necessity, and fair pricing. Submit complete documents within six months of the service date; submit balance bills, denials, or payment demands within 10 days of receiving them.

For a larger eligible medical event, the process may include review of bills and documentation, an applicable member commitment, and voluntary community funding under program rules. Eligibility, fair-price review, and any community funding depend on the event and its documentation. Before scheduled care, request an estimate, keep records together, and ask SakeOf what steps apply before assuming an expense qualifies.

Consider options for changing needs

Some membership options may be relevant for care beyond everyday concerns. Potential maternity expenses may be considered when the maternity feature is active and the pregnancy begins after its continuous 12-month waiting period; limits and other program rules apply. The newborn should be added to membership within 30 days of birth. Review the current membership terms with SakeOf before making plans.

Depending on the options available and active, dental and vision discounts, chiropractic or acupuncture, and durable medical equipment may also be relevant. If PT/OT is active, medically necessary care from an appropriately licensed therapist is subject to a shared 12-visit annual limit and a $780 annual maximum. The feature-specific member responsibility is $35 for eligible visits; an order, referral, or plan of care may be required.
