Make the comparison about your situation

The local facts stay the same. These are the pressure points and questions that matter more for this decision.

Pressure points to model

  • Paying the full healthcare bill yourself
  • No employer contribution
  • Family healthcare costs
  • Unclear alternatives to traditional insurance

Questions worth answering

  • What should I compare if I pay for healthcare myself?
  • How should a self-employed family compare monthly cost with major medical risk?
  • What changes when I leave employer coverage?
  • How could SakeOf fit alongside the other options I am comparing?

How SakeOf helps

  • Compare the membership structure with the other ways you could pay for healthcare
  • Use the calculator with your actual household
  • Ask Jordan to explain SakeOf guidelines and features using approved program knowledge

Start with the numbers you control

  • What are you paying each month now?
  • How many people need healthcare?
  • What would a major medical event need to look like financially for you to feel protected?

Use your actual household and compare total exposure, not just the monthly amount.

Make it personal

Your ZIP and situation carry into the calculator so the next step stays connected to this page.

How members use SakeOf in real life

Local facts are one part of the decision. These stories show what it looks like after joining.

A member-directed way to organize care

SakeOf is a healthcare membership that helps members organize everyday care, choose providers, and get support when medical bills need review. Rather than beginning every healthcare decision with a traditional insurance-first process, begin with the need in front of you: a common symptom, a prescription, ongoing care, an in-person service, or a bill that is hard to understand.

Membership choices and service details depend on the features selected and active, along with applicable program rules. The calculator and Savings Guide can help you explore membership options. Provider search can help you identify a provider to contact, and Jordan can help you work out a practical next step.

Use everyday care options for the right need

When a common, non-emergency illness or symptom is appropriate for remote care, Zero Copay Telemedicine offers eligible urgent-care consultations by phone or video at $0 per consultation when the feature is active. Access is available 24/7 where state licensing and service-partner availability permit. Medically appropriate consultations are unlimited while the feature is active; provider availability, technology, clinical appropriateness, and prescribing rules still apply. Rx and Prescription Benefits must remain active for this feature.

A clinician may prescribe when clinically appropriate and legally permitted. The active Rx program is designed primarily for medicines commonly prescribed for acute conditions. A listed formulary medication may be available at $0 through the participating-pharmacy process when program requirements are met. Check the current pharmacy tool before filling a prescription: formulary medicines, participating pharmacies, and vendor rules can change. A medicine outside the formulary is not automatically $0 or eligible for community sharing.

Mental Health and Counseling, when selected and active with its required features, offers unlimited telephonic counseling at $0 through the current service partner. Up to three face-to-face counseling consultations per incident may be arranged when available. Counseling can provide immediate support and referrals when more care is needed; psychiatry, inpatient behavioral health, emergency psychiatric care, and medication costs are not included just because counseling is active.

If you are considering ongoing or primary care, explore Virtual Primary Care if it appears among the membership choices available to you, and confirm its current details with SakeOf. Telemedicine recommendations for labs, imaging, specialty care, procedures, or an in-person visit do not themselves make those services part of a telemedicine feature.

Choose a local provider when in-person care is needed

Cleveland Clinic Akron General lists its address as 1 Akron General Avenue, Akron, OH 44307. Its contact number is 330-344-6000, and appointment information is available at 330-344-2273.my.clevelandclinic.org Summa Health System – Akron Campus is nearby at 141 N. Forge Street, Akron, OH 44304; check its location page for current services and contact details.www.summahealth.org These are facility locations, not guarantees of appointment availability, a particular price, or participation in a specific payment arrangement.

For scheduled care, contact the provider to confirm the correct service location, appointment route, and whether it currently participates in any applicable arrangement. Ask for a service-specific estimate and about financial-assistance or payment options. A facility address alone cannot tell you what a service will cost or what you may owe.

Get help making sense of a medical bill

If a bill is confusing or seems unusually high, SakeOf Full Service advocacy can help with bill verification, fair-price review, and negotiation support under applicable program rules. This support is intended to help members understand charges and pursue a fair price; it does not promise a reduction or determine in advance whether a particular amount is eligible.

Keep the itemized bill and related records together. An itemized bill is required and should include service dates, provider information, and CPT or HCPCS codes when available. SakeOf may also request clinical notes, medical records, diagnosis or procedure details, billing records, or a signed release to review eligibility, medical necessity, and fair pricing. Submit complete documents within six months of the service date. Submit balance bills, denials, or payment demands within 10 days of receiving them.

Plan ahead for a larger eligible medical event

For larger eligible medical events, SakeOf applies a member commitment and may include voluntary community funding under program rules. Review the commitment and the event’s specific eligibility requirements before care when possible. Keep estimates, referrals, bills, and clinical records together in case they are needed for review. Eligibility and any community funding depend on program rules; do not assume an event or expense will qualify.

If pregnancy is part of your planning, the maternity feature requires a continuous 12-month waiting period to be completed before pregnancy begins for that pregnancy to be eligible. Adding or restoring the feature after conception does not make that pregnancy eligible. Newborn enrollment and other program requirements also apply, so review current membership materials when planning.

Choose your next step

  • Common non-emergency symptoms: Check whether Zero Copay Telemedicine and its required active features are in place, then use phone or video access if the concern is appropriate for remote care.
  • Ongoing care: Explore available membership choices and confirm current Virtual Primary Care details if that option is presented to you.
  • Prescription: Check the current Rx tool for the medicine and participating-pharmacy process before filling it.
  • In-person service: Use provider search, then contact the provider to confirm location, appointment route, estimate, and applicable participation.
  • Bill review or major event: Gather records and itemized bills, then use the Savings Guide or ask Jordan about the next step.
  • Considering membership: Use the calculator to compare available choices and review membership options.

For an emergency, seek emergency care rather than using telemedicine or a routine membership workflow.
