2026 Program Updates
This page summarizes important SakeOf program changes and clarifications for 2026. The current Member Handbook controls the active program terms, limits, eligibility rules, and optional-feature schedule.
Overview
- SakeOf now supports a more customizable membership structure in which certain services, discount programs, and sharing categories can be selected or declined during enrollment.
- The price displayed at enrollment reflects the member's selected plan, household, and active optional program features.
- An optional feature that is turned off is not part of the member's program. Turning a feature on later applies prospectively and does not create retroactive eligibility.
- Some optional features depend on lower-tier features remaining active. The enrollment experience and Member Handbook identify applicable dependencies.
Why this changed
The 2026 structure is designed to let members choose the combination of everyday-care services and defined sharing features that best fits their needs instead of assuming every benefit is included in every membership configuration.
Optional program features
Depending on the plan and enrollment configuration offered, selectable features may include maternity sharing, prescription benefits, telemedicine, mental health and counseling, virtual primary care, chiropractic and acupuncture, dental and vision discounts, physical and occupational therapy, and durable medical equipment.
Direct-service features
Prescription benefits, urgent-care telemedicine, counseling, and virtual primary care are delivered through service partners when selected and active. These services do not use the standard medical-event member commitment for the included service itself.
Community-sharing features
Maternity, chiropractic/acupuncture, PT/OT, and durable medical equipment may use feature-specific waiting periods, visit limits, member responsibilities, fair-price rules, and annual or per-event sharing limits.
Discount programs
Dental and vision discounts provide access to participating-provider discounts. They are not a promise that routine dental or vision expenses will be paid by the community.
Feature changes
Adding a feature later does not make an earlier condition, pregnancy, service, expense, or course of treatment eligible. Waiting periods and continuous-participation rules may apply or restart.
Everyday-care service details
Rx & Prescription Benefits
- The current baseline acute prescription program includes approximately 70 commonly prescribed acute medications at $0 through 67,000+ participating pharmacy locations nationwide.
- For listed medications, the current service partner does not impose a program limit on dose, duration, dosage form, or frequency when clinically appropriate and legally prescribed.
- Non-formulary, chronic-maintenance, specialty, compounded, and other excluded medications are not automatically included at $0 unless a separate active pharmacy program expressly provides them.
Zero Copay Telemedicine
- Provides unlimited $0 urgent-care telemedicine consultations while active, with 24/7 phone or video access where licensing and provider availability permit.
- Telemedicine is intended for common non-emergency conditions that can be appropriately evaluated virtually.
Mental Health & Counseling
- The current counseling service includes unlimited telephonic counseling on demand at $0 through master's-level professionals.
- Up to 3 face-to-face counseling consultations per incident may be available when arranged through the program.
- Support may include problem assessment, supportive counseling, follow-up, crisis support, referrals, and ancillary legal and financial consultation resources.
Virtual Primary Care
- Provides $0 virtual primary-care access through the current service partner when the required bundled features remain active.
- Services may include a dedicated physician relationship, an annual wellness visit, follow-up care, health-risk assessment, chronic-care support, medication review, and care coordination.
Service-partner terms still apply
Provider availability, participating pharmacies, formulary content, state licensing, prescribing requirements, scheduling, and other operational details may change. The current Member Handbook and member portal should be used to confirm active benefits.
Sharing-feature clarifications
- Maternity: when selected and eligible, maternity uses the maternity-specific waiting period, member responsibility, eligible-service definition, and per-pregnancy sharing limit stated in the Member Handbook.
- Chiropractic & acupuncture: the current schedule allows up to 8 combined eligible visits per membership year. SakeOf may reprice the provider charge, and community sharing is limited to the lesser of the approved fair-price amount or $30 per eligible visit, with a $240 annual sharing maximum.
- Physical & occupational therapy: eligible therapy remains subject to the visit limit, per-visit member responsibility, medical-necessity rules, and annual sharing maximum in the Member Handbook.
- Durable medical equipment: eligible equipment remains subject to the feature-specific member responsibility, fair-price review, sharing percentage, annual limit, and advance-review rules in the Member Handbook.
Notice and transparency
- The current enrollment summary and Member Handbook identify the active price and benefits associated with the member's selected configuration.
- Changes to optional features are effective on the date shown in the member portal or communicated by SakeOf and do not apply retroactively.
- SakeOf may update service-partner details, formularies, provider access, fair-price methods, or feature limits as permitted by the Member Handbook and applicable notice requirements.
- Members should review the current Member Handbook for the controlling program terms.
