The SakeOf approach: handle simple care simply, keep the freedom to choose where you go, know more about the price before you pay, and have real support when a medical need becomes expensive or complicated.

How members use SakeOf in real life

Local facts are one part of the decision. These stories show what it looks like after joining.

Start with the care you need

SakeOf is a healthcare membership designed to make care easier to arrange and bills easier to understand. Rather than beginning with a maze of payment rules, members can start with the kind of help they need: a common illness, ongoing primary care, a prescription, or an in-person appointment.

Your available services depend on your membership and which options are selected and active. Use the calculator to explore membership choices, the Savings Guide to understand the model, or Jordan for help identifying a practical next step.

Use everyday care options when they fit

For a common, non-emergency illness or symptom that is appropriate for a virtual visit, Zero Copay Telemedicine can offer a low-friction place to start when active. Clinician availability, state rules, and clinical judgment apply. If the clinician recommends an exam, lab, imaging, specialist, or in-person follow-up, those are separate care needs to arrange.

When active, Rx and Prescription Benefits are designed primarily for medications commonly prescribed for acute conditions. A listed formulary medication may be available at $0 through the participating-pharmacy process when program requirements are met. Check the current pharmacy tool before filling a prescription: a medication outside the formulary is not automatically $0 or eligible for community sharing, and medication costs may remain separate.

Members who select and maintain the required active options may also have access to telephonic counseling and Virtual Primary Care. Counseling includes on-demand support through the current partner, with face-to-face consultations when arranged and available under program terms. Virtual Primary Care includes a dedicated physician relationship, an annual virtual wellness visit, and ongoing follow-up when appropriate for virtual care. It is not a route for emergency care or every in-person need.

Find in-person care near Continental

For a local pharmacy, Okuley’s Pharmacy lists a Continental location at 102 S Main St. Call to confirm current hours, services, medication availability, participation, and expected charges before making the trip.

The research for this guide verified a pharmacy listing in Continental, but did not verify a clinic or hospital in the community. That does not settle what care may be available: use SakeOf’s provider search and confirm the location, appointment availability, participation, and expected charges directly with each provider.

Putnam County options listed in Ottawa include the Putnam County Health Department, which offers public-health services such as immunizations, and Lima Memorial Health System’s Putnam County Medical Center, which lists family medicine and cardiology. These are county-level listings, not confirmation of care or appointment access in Continental. Contact the organization to check current services, clinicians, availability, fees, and applicable coverage.

For an immunization visit, the health department lists appointments and can be reached at 419-523-5608. Putnam P.A.T.H. describes no-cost health and resource navigation, including help finding a doctor and scheduling appointments. Navigation assistance is distinct from clinical care; ask the program about current availability and ask providers about care costs.

Get help when a bill needs a closer look

When an in-person visit or other service produces a confusing bill, Full Service includes advocacy and fair-price review as part of SakeOf’s membership approach. Keep the itemized bill and any explanation of charges, payment requests, or denials. SakeOf may review supporting records and documentation to assess eligibility, medical necessity, and fair pricing; negotiation support may be part of advocacy.

Submit complete documents within six months of the service date. Send a balance bill, denial, or payment demand within 10 days of receiving it. An itemized bill should show service dates, provider information, and CPT or HCPCS codes when available. Additional records or a signed release may be requested. The program guide explains the applicable member commitment and process; check it before assuming a particular bill is eligible or a specific outcome will follow.

Understand support for larger eligible events

For a larger eligible medical event, Full Service combines advocacy and fair-price review with voluntary community sharing under the program rules. The applicable member commitment comes first in understanding how an event is handled; consult the program guide for the terms that apply to your membership and situation. Sharing is voluntary, and eligibility and review depend on program requirements and documentation.

Keep records from the beginning: itemized bills, provider details, dates of service, and any related clinical or billing documents. For home care, hospice, or palliative care, Putnam County HomeCare & Hospice lists services from its Ottawa location. Contact the organization directly to confirm its service area, eligibility, participation, and expected charges.

Consider options for household needs

If maternity support matters to your planning, the maternity community-sharing feature is available only when offered and selected with Full Service, and it has specific eligibility rules. The pregnancy must begin after maternity has been continuously active for at least 12 months; the member responsibility is $5,000 per eligible pregnancy, with community sharing up to $25,000 per eligible pregnancy after that responsibility. Review the membership handbook for the full terms before relying on this feature.

Dental and vision work differently: participating providers are paid directly at the applicable discounted rate, and discounts vary. Routine dental and vision bills are not community-shared unless written program terms say otherwise. Check provider participation and pricing before scheduling. For any other service or discount option, confirm whether it is currently offered, selected, active, and applicable to the care you need.

Take a practical next step

  • For a common, non-emergency concern: Check whether telemedicine is active and appropriate; follow up on any recommended in-person care separately.
  • For a prescription: Verify the medication and participating-pharmacy process in the current tool, then call Okuley’s Pharmacy to confirm availability and charges.
  • For an in-person visit: Search providers and confirm location, availability, participation, and expected cost directly.
  • For a bill or major event: Gather itemized bills and related documents, observe submission deadlines, and review the program guide.
  • To compare your next move: Use the calculator, read the Savings Guide, search providers, or ask Jordan about membership options.
