You choose where to seek in-person care. Before scheduling, ask the provider whether it offers the service you need, whether an appointment is required, and what payment arrangements it accepts. Request a service-specific estimate when available. For hospital care, CMS explains hospital price transparency and Good Faith Estimates; an estimate may not include every professional or ancillary charge.
Ask whether labs, imaging, specialist visits, follow-up care, and prescriptions will be billed separately from the main service. Knowing which charges to expect helps you prepare questions for both the provider and SakeOf. Provider search and Jordan can help you think through your next step.
Full Service includes advocacy and bill review. SakeOf reviews submitted expenses for eligibility, medical necessity, documentation, and price fairness, and may negotiate or reprice a bill. For planned care, contact SakeOf in advance when reasonably possible. An unreasonable price may limit eligibility until negotiation is complete.
Keep the itemized bill, including service dates, provider information, and CPT or HCPCS codes when available. SakeOf may request medical records, clinical notes, billing details, or a signed release to verify an expense. Complete documents should be submitted within six months of the service date. Send balance bills, denials, or payment demands within 10 days of receiving them. An amount paid or discounted through an optional feature cannot also be counted as a separate sharing request for the same charge unless SakeOf expressly approves an eligible remaining balance.
For an eligible larger medical expense, Full Service brings together bill review, fair-price support, an applicable member commitment, and voluntary community funding. SakeOf reviews the documentation and price. Keep membership current, fund required asks, respond to documentation requests, and contact SakeOf about planned higher-cost care when reasonably possible.
Optional features can also be tailored to household needs: maternity care is listed at $18 per month; dental and vision discounts at $9; chiropractic and acupuncture at $14; physical and occupational therapy at $11; and durable medical equipment at $7. These features are selected during enrollment and follow their applicable terms and program rules. Use the calculator and Savings Guide to compare membership options, then ask Jordan about features relevant to your care plans.
