Compare the costSakeOf is a healthcare membership that brings together everyday care options, help navigating healthcare costs, and support when a bill or care decision gets complicated. You can start with the kind of help you need—such as a virtual visit, counseling, a prescription, ongoing primary-care support, or an in-person appointment—and choose a provider and care setting that fit the situation.
Your membership choices and active features determine which services and terms apply. The calculator can help you explore membership options, the Savings Guide can help you compare features, provider search can help you locate care, and Jordan can help identify a useful next step.
Zero Copay Telemedicine is designed for common, non-emergency illnesses and symptoms that are appropriate for a virtual consultation. Provider availability, technology, state law, clinical judgment, and prescribing rules still matter. A virtual visit does not include a procedure, imaging, lab work, specialty care, or an in-person follow-up simply because a clinician recommends one; arrange those services separately when needed.
For a more ongoing virtual relationship, Virtual Primary Care offers a dedicated physician relationship, ongoing virtual follow-up, an annual virtual wellness visit and health-risk assessment, and chronic-care or medication-management support when clinically appropriate for virtual care. The current bundled tier has a $15 monthly adjustment and requires Rx and Prescription Benefits, Zero Copay Telemedicine, and Mental Health and Counseling to remain active.
Mental Health and Counseling may include immediate problem assessment, supportive counseling and follow-up sessions, follow-up with the original counselor when available, and referrals to appropriate plans or local community resources. Psychiatry, emergency psychiatric care, inpatient behavioral health, neuropsychological testing, residential substance-use treatment, and medication costs are separate unless another active benefit or program expressly includes them.
If a clinician prescribes medication, the prescription must be clinically appropriate and legally permitted. The medication cost follows the active Rx and Prescription Benefits terms; a virtual consultation does not itself include medication costs. Check which Rx option is active before relying on a particular benefit.
Virtual care is not the right setting for every need. For an examination, lab, imaging, specialist visit, or other in-person service, choose a provider based on the specific service and location. Before booking, confirm that the provider offers that service at the location you plan to visit, has an appointment available, and accepts your payment method or relevant plan.
Auburn has a state-listed hospital: HCAI lists Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital at 11815 Education Street as open, with basic emergency service and 64 licensed beds. A facility listing does not establish that a particular service or appointment is available, so confirm current details and expected costs directly with the hospital. hcai.ca.gov
For other Auburn-area care, California’s DHCS Provider Information Network lets you search doctors, hospitals, clinics, and other providers by ZIP code, county, or address, with filters that include language and services. Treat directory results as a starting point: confirm the specific location, service, participation, and appointment availability with both the provider and any relevant plan. www.dhcs.ca.gov
For planned care, ask the provider for a written estimate and whether other clinicians or services may bill separately. HCAI publishes hospital cost-transparency information, including chargemasters; listed charges may differ from an individual’s expected payment. hcai.ca.gov
If a bill is confusing or seems high, SakeOf Full Service advocacy can help verify the bill, review fair pricing, and support negotiation. Keep the itemized bill and related records together. An itemized bill should include service dates, provider information, and CPT or HCPCS codes when available. SakeOf may request medical records, clinical notes, diagnosis or procedure details, billing records, provider documentation, or a signed release to review eligibility, medical necessity, and fair pricing.
Complete documents are due within six months of the service date. Submit a balance bill, denial, or payment demand within 10 days of receiving it. For planned higher-cost care, contact SakeOf in advance when reasonably possible and request a written estimate from the provider. HCAI’s policy lookup lists charity-care and discount-payment policies for Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital; contact the hospital or consult its current policy for details. hcai.ca.gov
For a larger eligible medical event, SakeOf combines the applicable member commitment with voluntary member-to-member community funding under program rules. Funding is voluntary, and neither eligibility nor funding is guaranteed. Full Service advocacy can also support bill review, fair-price review, and negotiation as part of the process.
Keep membership active, meet the applicable member responsibility, and submit complete itemized bills and requested documents promptly. For planned higher-cost care, contact SakeOf early when reasonably possible, check the relevant program terms, and ask the provider for a written estimate. The calculator and Savings Guide can help you explore membership choices and identify the features to review.
For maternity, potentially eligible expenses include prenatal visits, certain testing and ultrasounds, pregnancy-related specialist care, delivery, and routine postpartum care through six weeks after delivery. Pregnancy must begin after a continuous 12-month maternity waiting period is completed; adding or restoring the option after conception does not make that pregnancy eligible. Limits and other program rules apply.
Dental and vision options use participating-provider discounts: the member pays the provider directly at the applicable rate, and discounts vary by provider and service. Chiropractic or acupuncture, physical or occupational therapy, and durable medical equipment may also be relevant options; check your membership choices for current availability and terms.
